At Canaan Valley Resort, we’re known for our programs for kids of all ages, including Young People for Parks, Kidz Korner, involvement in the Great American Campout, and the Canaan Cub Club (ages 3-6) and Mountain Adventure (ages 7-15) programs in the winter.
Is everyone in your family interested different activities? Not a problem. From skiing and swimming to paintball and nearby horseback riding, we offer dozens of activities to choose from.
Young People for Parks
Canaan Valley Resort is proud to offer it’s younger guests the opportunity to learn more about the resort’s grounds and the wildlife that live here. The Young People for Parks Program is designed to educate children about the flora, fauna, insects and wildlife around them. Children must attend a total of three walks. Each child, upon completion of the program, will be given a certificate and a badge (or lapel pin) for their participation.
Our park naturalist will lead the group on walks throughout the park grounds. This program is designed for children ages 6-16. There is no charge for this program which is sponsored by the WV Division of Natural Resources.
Adults are encouraged to attend. Children ages 12-under must be accompanied by an adult on walks. For further information, contact our naturalist at 800-622-4121 ext. 2688.
