WV Division of Natural Resources and Canaan Valley Resort invite you to attend this spring workshop designed primarily for women (ages 18 and older) to become more competent in, more confident in and more aware of the outdoors. This workshop is designed to encourage women interested in learning outdoor skills to explore and ask questions about a variety of outdoor activities in a comfortable, non-threatening atmosphere.

Skills include hunting, shooting and fishing, plus much more. Workshop fee includes registration, instruction in all sessions, program materials, use of demonstration equipment, lodging, transportation to and from sessions, and some meals.
Registration Information

Help us clean the Park! Become a volunteer and help clean trails throughout the park grounds (remove sticks, limbs, and other debris). We will also conduct an invasive species weed pulling. Come dressed to get dirty – and wear appropriate shoes (waterproof or hiking boots, tennis shoes). Bring gloves. Canaan will provide bottled water for all volunteers. The fun begins at 9am (meet at the Nature Center).  Bring the kids – we’ll have nature coloring books for our junior volunteers to take home. Get out and enjoy a day in the spring sunshine and help your local state park maintain its beauty.

Fee: $10 per person
