WindFest / 4th July Celebration |

- Kite flying and stunt kite demos

Kite building workshops to be conducted by Wings over Washington Kite Club on Saturday & Sunday (July 3-4). Children & adults of all ages are encouraged to build your own kite and learn how to fly it afterwards (small fee charged for craft). Enjoy weekend cook-outs, family activities and more.
Windfest Event Schedule
Friday, July 2 9pm (dark): Fireworks in nearby Thomas, WV (12 miles north of resort on Rt 32 north). (Rain date is Saturday evening - July 3rd).
Saturday, July 3 10am - 5pm: West Virginia artisans and crafters will display their wares. 11am & 2pm: Kite Building Workshop - Wings over Washington Kite Club will offer a workshop for children and adults of all ages to learn how to design and build their own kites, and fly them afterwards. Small fee charged. 11am - 2pm: Cook-out lunch at Nature Center 12pm & 3pm: Jumbo Kite Flying & Stunt Kite Demos - Learn how to fly stunt kites, including the enormous 80' Scuba Diver, 20' Lobster, and gigantic Octopus kites.
TBA: Free Concert - Wheeling Symphony Orchestra at the ski area. Bring your blankets & chairs.
