Canaan Valley Resort in West Virginia’s Potomac Highlands is offering a lineup of fun events during Memorial Day weekend, May 25 – 28, 2018.

“Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial launch of the summer season around here, and our hard-working recreation activities team has arranged a variety of fun and festive ways to celebrate,” said Steve Drumheller, general manager.

The weekend includes a Murder Mystery Dinner Show, wagons rides, field games, crafts, guided hikes and an 18-hole golf scramble.

On Saturday evening, the resort will stage a Murder Mystery Dinner and Show with the solemn promise that “The Butler Didn’t Do It,” which also happens to be the name of the show. An eccentric millionaire hosts a party, but his plans to make a major announcement are foiled when is loyal butler is found dead. This dramatic performance of intrigue and corporate espionage is sure to captivate.

Guests can purchase tickets for the dinner and show only. There is also a lodging package that includes the dinner, show and more.

Canaan Valley Resort is a sponsor and lodging partner for the annual ArtSpring Festival, featuring events throughout the weekend, including a silent auction, handmade art market, art crawl and plein aire painters. Events promote the Tucker County local arts community and are staged at the resort as well as the nearby towns of Thomas and Davis.
