## Frequently Asked Questions

### How should I store my ski pass?

Please keep your ski pass in your upper jacket pocket or arm pocket. It's important that you keep the pass away from cell phones, credit cards, or any other card with a magnetic strip. Please do not hole punch or fold your card as it will cause damage.

Also, if you are skiing with young children or in a group, please ensure each person has their own ski pass on them. Do not store multiple ski passes on the same person.

### What happens if I lose my ski pass?

If you lose or damage your ski pass, please visit our ticketing office immediately and they will deactivate your old pass and reissue you a new pass ($5 replacement fee applies).

### Can I purchase rentals through my ski pass?

When reloading your pass, you can purchase a combo ski & rentals pass. If you purchase rentals, please head straight to the rental shop area to receive your gear.

### Can I transfer my ski pass?

Ski passes are non-transferrable as it is linked to your name and personal information.

### How long does my ski pass last?

You can use the same RFID ski pass season after season by simply reloading with a season pass or a day pass for each visit. However, overtime the ski pass may degrade and a new one can be issued to you for a fee of $5.

### Can my ski pass ‘survive’ in pieces of clothing, washing machines and dryers?

Yes. RFID chips are designed to survive normal wear and tear for years, washing and drying included. The RFID access pass may turn blue as the thermal ink may be activated by the extreme heat however it will still work at the lift.

### What about RFID & Pacemakers?

RFID is the acronym for “radio frequency identification”. Devices many of us use everyday function with radio frequencies and electromagnetic fields, such as radio units, cordless or cell phones, or wireless networks. Axess RFID readers are electronic devices that produce an electromagnetic field like any other electronic device used for hands-free technology. Based on Axess’s own records, its research and its reports of independent research conducted on the influence of electromagnetic fields on medical implants such as pacemakers, there is no known health risk of interaction between Axess RFID readers and pacemakers. However, if you wear a pacemaker, you should consult with your physician and refer to the manufacturer’s recommendations for your specific device, as you would with any electronic device. Out of an abundance of caution, we recommend that guests with pacemakers not wear the lift access media card near their heart when passing through RFID gates. We also recommend that guests not linger close to RFID readers, maintaining a distance of at least 8 to 12 inches from RFID readers while in line and when passing through the gate.

\*If you wear a pacemaker or other medical implant and prefer not to pass through the RFID gate, please alert the validation staff at the lift and you will be given alternative direction for lift access.
