Canaan Valley resort will celebrate the Annual WV days Celebration. The weekend's events will feature civil war re-enactments, authentic encampment, plus battlefield demonstrations, presented by the Barbour Grays from Phillipi, WV; 1st. West Virginia Calvary Company "C", the 140th Volunteers from Green County, PA, and the WV light artillery. These volunteers bring history to life for all to see. Family oriented - see women, service men and children dressed in period clothing.

Friday, June 20

6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Encampment Opens

Tour the grounds and learn how soldiers and their families lived during these times of war.

Saturday, June 21

9 a.m. - 8 p.m. - Encampment open

9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. - Cornhole, ladder ball, and Field Games

1 p.m. - President Abraham Lincoln Portrayal and the Gettysburg Address.

12 p.m. & 5 p.m. - Skirmish Demonstration (re-enactment of civil war battles)

Sunday, June 22

9 a.m. - 12 p.m. - Encampment open
