“Easter weekend is a time to celebrate the arrival of springtime, and we’ve built an entire weekend of affordable indoor and outdoor family fun around the holiday,” said Steve Drumheller, general manager of the resort.

The weekend kicks off on Friday night with a showing of “Chicken Little” in the Willow/Elm Room at 7 p.m. On Saturday there’s a drawing contest, count-the-jelly-bean jar, Easter egg coloring, scavenger hunt and Easter egg hunt followed by a showing of the Easter movie “HOP.” The Easter Bunny has promised to visit the Canaan Valley Resort recreation center at 3 p.m. that day. On Sunday, an Easter Buffet will be served in the Hickory Dining Room from noon to 5 p.m. Reservations are recommended by calling 304-866-2205.
