Join us for a free guided bird walk along the Blackwater River Trail and discover the summer birds that call Canaan Valley home, including the vibrant Indigo Bunting.
Wondering who's around for the summer? Join us for our 3rd Saturday Bird Walk at Canaan Valley Resort State Park and discover the incredible birdlife found throughout the valley.
Meet at 9:00 AM in the Golf Course parking area for an easy 1–2 mile guided walk along the Blackwater River Trail. This free event is open to birders of all experience levels and offers a great opportunity to learn about local species, including the beautiful Indigo Bunting.
Participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather and trail conditions and bring water, snacks, and binoculars if available.
